Tooling And Part Sourcing
We are an expert partner in sourcing mass-produced parts and the tooling required for their manufacture. By outsourcing the sourcing process to us, you gain access to the global supplier network we have built over many years, including high-quality partners for both injection-moulded and die-cast components. Our extensive sourcing expertise covers the entire process in practice — from RFQs and production coordination to logistics, customs clearance, and incoming inspections. This reduces risk, saves time, and ensures that the parts you need are delivered smoothly and reliably.
We source parts both for products we have designed ourselves as part of a comprehensive product development process and for existing products. In the latter case, the sourcing process can also include, where needed, a review of the design documentation (3D models and 2D drawings) as well as any necessary modifications, for example to improve manufacturability.
Tooling and part sourcing service in a nutshell
When you outsource part sourcing to us, we take care of the RFQ process and select a suitable manufacturer for your parts based on the quotations received. Once you approve the quotation, the manufacturer will typically first produce a smaller trial batch. After inspecting the quality of the sample parts ourselves, we deliver them to you for approval. If the trial batch meets expectations in every respect, we can proceed with ordering a mass-production batch, typically in quantities ranging from 100 to 10,000 units. We carry out incoming inspections on the produced parts to the agreed level of detail and then deliver the parts to you.
