Optotec Quality
Optotec Quality is the term we use for the level of quality that we aim for in all our operations throughout the organization. Optotec Quality means consistently high quality that meets customer expectations and of which we can be proud. Optotec Quality is built on a customer-oriented culture, investment in factors related to the company’s internal operating environment, and operation based on established processes. Continuous improvement of practices is also an essential part of achieving, maintaining, and enhancing Optotec Quality.
Customer-Oriented Culture
We foster a customer-oriented culture in our company, which is reflected in practical operations through the following ways:
- We carefully assess customer needs and requirements during the quotation phase to ensure that both we and the customer understand the scope of the project and what the customer is paying us for.
- Design projects adhere to established processes, including practices for communication during the project and documentation to be produced. Thorough requirements specification, for example, ensures that the outcome aligns with customer requirements.
- We systematically gather customer feedback and utilize it for the improvement of our operations.
Internal Operating Environment
The key prerequisite for high-quality performance is having motivated employees who work by quality objectives and are provided with favorable conditions for delivering quality work. At Optotec, this entails the following aspects:
- We provide employees with quality facilities and tools for their work, and we listen to their suggestions for improvements.
- We motivate employees by actively offering opportunities for skill maintenance and development, ensuring a positive work environment, and providing diverse employment benefits. We also offer employees avenues for influence and participation.
- All Optotec employees receive training on Optotec Quality criteria, as well as the practices and approaches used to achieve Optotec Quality. This information is also available in the Optotec Quality Manual.
- Open communication is practiced at Optotec. We provide transparent and simultaneous information to all employees. When making important decisions, we strive to survey and consider the opinions of employees.
Process-Oriented Approach
Achieving consistent quality requires operating based on established and standardized processes. At Optotec, the process-oriented approach is implemented through the following practices:
- Key processes within the organization are documented in written or visual formats.
- The processes have been designed and developed in close collaboration with the employee groups whose work they affect, ensuring their practical functionality rather than being merely theoretical.
- Compliance with processes is regularly monitored.
Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement
To improve the quality of our operations, it is necessary to regularly monitor its level. At Optotec, various metrics are used to measure the quality of operations, with the most important ones being:
- Customer feedback, which is the primary metric for monitoring customer orientation and measuring the overall quality of the organization’s operations.
- Employee feedback, which specifically indicates how successful we have been in developing the internal operating environment of the company and constructing processes.
